What is Milo Murphy’s Law? – New Disney Animation Series

Milo Murphy's Law

I remember being in San Diego when Róisín was a little girl. Our hotel had the Disney channel and when we were trying to calm things down before bed time we would sit and watch Phineas and Ferb. We loved it. So what have Phineas and Ferb creators Dan Povenmire, Jeff “Swampy” Marsh been up to since then? Delilah and I went to the preview of their newest Disney animation series at BAFTA in central London to ask them “What is Milo Murphy’s Law?”

Milo Murphy's Law

Murphy’s Law states that anything that can go wrong will. That doesn’t bode well for 13-year-old Milo Murphy, a descendant of the man for whom the law was named, and who feels like he’s living it. Milo is always expecting the unexpected. He’s prepared for anything that comes his way, he is armed with knowledge, a backpack full of supplies and a strong sense of optimism to help him get through any problem.

The situations that Milo and his best friends Melissa and Zack find themselves in are hilarious. If Murphy’s Law states that anything that can go wrong will go wrong it takes some very creative people, behind the scenes, to come up with the not so obvious things that could actually go wrong. Thinking outside the box, Milo and friends overcome the obstacles that life puts in their way.

Multiple Grammy winner “Weird Al” Yankovic provides the voice of Milo with other characters voiced by Christian Slater and Mark Hamill. If you listen carefully you can also hear Dan and Jeff in there too.

MILO MURPHY’S LAW  is the kind of series that kids will relate to in a humorous way. He is not troubled by the calamitous and disastrous situations he finds himself and his friends in. With optimism and enthusiasm, he can turn any catastrophe into an adventure.

Some of the antics are laugh out loud funny and the pace of the episodes enables younger audiences to keep up. The character animation is fantastic and the score fits each scene perfectly to add a sense of drama to the visual scenes of anarchy. You don’t need a hotel room in San Diego to get into it.
