STELLA MCCARTNEY KIDS LAUNCHES A CAPSULE COLLECTION IN
COLLABORATION WITH THE UNIQUE CHILDREN’S FASHION AND CONCEPT
I remember the announcement that Stella McCartney, daughter of Sir Paul McCartney, was replacing Karl Lagerfeld creative director of Paris fashion house Chloé. It was a tough time for her as the world saw her entering the fashion business under some sort of nepotism. Truth is, she was working in the industry since an internship at 16 years old. Anyway, she excelled in the role at Chloé and proved the world wrong.
This November sees the launch of her collection of kids clothing for Smallable. Stella McCartney Kids is a range of clothing for kids aged to 2-14 years. The collection for children and babies offers comfortable basics and trendy prints.
Stella McCartney Kids follows the same lines that made her women’s fashion collections such a success. In keeping with the ethics and moral values of her mother, Linda McCartney, the range is not only accessible, but also ecologically friendly and ethical.
The new capsule collection features spirited cat illustrations, ranging from lions and tigers to domestic breeds on t-shirts and sweatshirts. My girls love the animated cat prints in shades of fluoro pink and orange that make perfect holiday outfits. Bit garish for me, but I’m not under 11 or a girl. But I bet they look cute so I’d buy them. I’m a pushover, a real big softy.
The thirteen piece collection for boys and girls, ages two to fourteen, is designed to offer Autumn and Winter wardrobe essentials using the best possible fabrics.
I love the brand’s commitment to sustainability. All the clothing is made from organic cotton. Check them out at Smallable
